JBF Spring Hill/Franklin Team Member Agreement

I understand that this agreement is between myself and JBF Spring Hill/Franklin. It does not transfer or apply to family members, friends, or other individuals besides myself.

I understand that I am not an employee of Just Between Friends, Inc. (JBF) or JBF Spring Hill/Franklin and that JBF, nor JBF Spring Hill/Franklin, will not provide me with insurance, worker’s compensation, sick leave, vacation pay, retirement, social security, disability, health, or unemployment benefits or any other benefits of an employee. Instead, I am offering my services as an Independent Contractor and this waiver shall not constitute the formation of a partnership, joint venture, employment, principal/agent, or master/servant relationship between the parties. As an Independent Contractor, you are not classified as an employee. If your pay exceeds $600 for the calendar year, we are required to issue a 1099.

All JBF team members are expected to uphold the Just Between Friends Core Values. The JBF Core Values are:

I agree to uphold the JBF Core Values to the best of my ability. Team members who deliberately choose to operate contrary to the JBF Core Values will be dismissed.

I am participating as a member of the JBF Team in an ethical manner and agree that I am not attempting to learn JBF business practices, operations techniques, or any other business matters that may or may not be trademarked, registered, or proprietary in any way.

I agree to forever discharge and agree to hold harmless Just Between Friends, Inc. and the independently owned JBF sale (MJU Group, LLC DBA: JBF Spring Hill/Franklin) I am participating in, its officers, owners, directors and agents against all damages, losses, claims, costs and expenses (including attorney’s fees and court costs), and liabilities of any nature which may be incurred by me or which may arise from my activities at the sale. I have a responsibility not to attend or participate as a Team Member at Just Between Friends Consignment Sales event if I am sick, running a fever, or if I have been positively diagnosed with COVID-19 or any other communicable disease. I hereby release and hold harmless Just Between Friends, its employees, officers, vendors, & owner from and against all claims of damages and liability resulting from exposure to COVID-19 or any communicable disease.

I understand that if I work four (4) consecutive hours, I will be given a 15-minute break. I understand that if I work eight (8) consecutive hours, I will be provided with a 30-minute unpaid break. Water and snacks will be provided in the break area. Meals or other preferred snacks may be brought at my own discretion.

I understand that I am permitted to leave personal items in the designated area during my shift, but that it will be AT MY OWN RISK. I agree not to hold JBF Spring Hill/Franklin responsible for any lost or stolen personal items.

I understand that I must drop-off my own personal items before or after my shift, not during. Additionally, if I work a sort shift, in order to receive full credit, I may not pick-up or take my own belongings before the sort shift is complete.

I agree to make any changes or cancellations for any shift at least 48 hours in advance. For changes less than 48 hours, I will call or text the owner to notify them of my absence.

I understand that if I do not complete my shift after having used my team member shopping pass, the difference of the pass amount will be deducted from my compensation.

If I do not complete all of the hours for my shift, my compensation will be adjusted to match the amount of hours actually worked.

I understand that I may not work additional shifts unless approved to do so. I will receive an additional 10% on my sold items, plus other incentives stated, if applicable, or the agreed upon hourly rate. There is no additional compensation for others I bring unless it has been previously discussed and approved.
